Private-party as-is disclaimer
Last updated August 28, 2026
Every car on OwnerLot is a private-party listing. Sales are as-is, where-is, between the owner and the buyer, unless those two people sign a different written agreement.
OwnerLot is not in the deal
We do not inspect vehicles, guarantee odometer or accident history, verify title, hold escrow, process payments, or ship cars. A listing is an advertisement. It is not an offer from OwnerLot.
Do your own checks
Get a VIN report, confirm the title is in the seller's name, and have a mechanic inspect the car before you pay. Meet in a public place. Do not wire money, use gift cards, or ship a deposit to a stranger.
Sellers
You are responsible for truthful mileage, title status, accident notes, and photos of this exact vehicle. Hiding salvage brands or flood damage can be illegal in your state.
Limitation
To the fullest extent allowed by law, OwnerLot is not liable for failed deals, stolen cars, personal injury at a meetup, or losses from relying on a listing. Some states do not allow certain limitations; in those states our liability is limited to the amount you paid us (currently zero) in the 12 months before the claim.
